A Hipper Crowd of Shushers

This NY Times article by KARA JESELLA, published July 8, 2007, has caused some controversy among the current internet librarian set....specifically because, once again, we are "fighting the librarian stereotypes." It is almost embarrassing how long society has been milking this one, and I think it's just about time that we accept that there are lots of young, hip, intelligent, savvy, trendy, and beer-drinking librarians around, who are NOT the exception to the rule..... We've been around a while....
